Plant for the Planet Trail Event

Come Plant for the Planet at the Chapman DeMary Trail this Earth Day!

Join The Nature Generation to get more plants in the ground to help pollinators. Thanks to funding from a grant from the Dominion Foundation, we will be able to enhance our pollinator meadow and our monarch waystation by planting milkweed, goldenrod, ironweed, joe pye weed and other plants that we’ve seen thrive in this area and that attract tons of pollinators! These plants will help provide food and shelter that these important creatures need. Why bother? Because we need them! One reason is that these creatures pollinate plants that are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food we eat! We can make a difference right here where we live. So, bring your gloves and a shovel, dress appropriately for working in a wooded area, and join us on Saturday, April 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Chapman DeMary Trail in Purcellville, Va.  One lucky person will also win a door prize donated by Watermark Woods!  Click here to learn more about the Chapman DeMary Trail.
